The 1970 Toyota Celica 1600 GT is a direct result of the Toyota Advance Car EX-1 that "wowed" the motoring public at the 1969 Tokyo Motor Show. Born in a wind tunnel and equipped with the 2T-G 1600cc overhead cam engine, the new Celica GT was exactly what automotive buyers had been waiting for.
