Where to store old model kits

Published: April 24, 2013
Q: I have a select number of kits from the early 1960s and 1970s that I store in a closet in our house. I keep all of the decals in document protectors in a notebook inside the house. I need the space in the house, or rather, my wife does.

Will it hurt to store the older kits in the basement?

All my newer kits stored in the basement are together in large cardboard moving boxes, and the ambient temperature fluctuates between 40-80 degrees from winter to summer, with no humidity.
I think there are probably other modelers who can benefit from your answer, so please let us know.
