Pros: Nice change-of-pace build
Cons: Flash and ejector-pin marks; tire halves do not fit together well

Lindberg's reissue of the 1925 Ford Model T Street Rod is a throwback. The kit is comprised of 28 parts molded in white, with the windshield, headlights, and taillights molded in clear. No chrome parts or decals are included.

As expected with molds of this age, flash and ejector-pin marks are prevalent throughout. The engine and transmission assembly is molded in halves, with separate parts for the intake manifold, carbs, belt/pulleys, and exhaust headers. The oil pan and front suspension are molded into the frame.

The one-piece interior bucket features tuck-and-roll seats with seatbelts. The wheels/tires are molded in halves that require sanding along the treads to match up. A two-piece soft top is also included.

Although construction is simple, it will make you appreciate the kits of today. All parts fit reasonably well, with the exception of the wheel/tire halves. Masking the wheels inside of the tires for painting is also difficult.

I painted the body and frame with Tamiya Metallic Green lacquer. The interior is flat blue with a white top.

I built this kit in six hours, and I recommend it to beginners, or experienced modelers looking for a break, or for that feel of nostalgia.
