Another Revell Mustang review?”  You might not be blamed for thinking that, but check this particular Revell Mustang out: It sits nice and low. It has a satisfactory wheel-and-tire package right out of the box, with a properly low profile on the rubber.

Here’s the catch: it’s a snap-together.  And it’s in 1/32 scale.

The 24 parts Revell presents in this kit sort of split the difference between modern promo-based snappers and classic Monogram 1/32 scale Snap-Tites.

Like the older kits, the interior is molded as a tub, and the seats have no backs. As with more-current promo-style kits, there are metal axles, vinyl tires, and clear lenses at least for the headlights. Revell molds the hood separately (maybe to allow for a KR version later on) and two grilles on the black parts tree. Instead of screws, there are two bulky and conspicuous plastic pins to hold the chassis plate in place.

The box-art model has complete striping down the front and rear fascias, but the sticker sheet only has graphics for the hood, roof, and deck. But the stickers are pretty pliable and forgiving. The sideview mirrors are molded to the body with the correct general shape, but you’ll need to scrounge your own reflectors from Mylar or foil tape.
