This 1934 Ford Roadster kit is an interesting mix of old-school tooling and modern-day photoetch technology.

What makes this kit unique is a nicely done sheet of photoetched parts.

Also new is a decal sheet featuring pinstripes, scallops, dash gauges, and some cool rat-rod-appropriate graphics.

There are 27 gray plastic parts – a number of which you will not use – paired with a rack of chrome parts including two-piece wire wheels, hubcaps, full Moon-type discs, blower, windshield frame, triple carburetors, valve covers, and exhaust pipes.

The photoetched parts folded and fit perfectly. I painted them chrome silver.

Following the painting directions in the instructions, the body was painted with red oxide primer, followed by the body color (Valspar Baby Blue Satin).

A few areas were gently sanded until the primer started to show through.

Despite the simplicity of this kit, it can be built into a respectable “beater” hot rod.

I recommend this kit to adult modelers looking for a quick, fun project.
