Alcad II chrome spray

RELATED TOPICS: CHROME
Q: I just tried Alcad II chrome spray for the first time. I really like the results, but I think it could be a little more shiny. How long should I wait before buffing it to a higher gloss?

Ken: If it's applied properly, Alcad II shouldn't require any buffing, Kevin.

It can be tricky stuff, but after you get the hang of Alcad, you'll continue to be very satisfied with the results.

If it's not shiny, you may have actually sprayed on too much. Be careful to apply Alcad in thin coats, with the airbrush set at approximately 15 PSI pressure.

Spraying thin coats will allow you to track your progress, and will also ensure that just the right amount of material is applied to the surface for the optimum shine. Spraying Alcad over a gloss black base coat will help, too.

Good luck, Kevin, and thanks a lot for the question.
