Making a homemade file

RELATED TOPICS: TOOL
Tip: When filing in narrow places, you can make your own extrathin file cheaply and easily by cutting a piece of sandpaper about 1/4 inch wide by 6 or more inches in length, then fold the piece in half and superglue the halves together.

The resulting two-sided "file," which will measure 1/4 by 3 inches, will be flat enough to fit in tight spaces, yet strong enough to give some sanding leverage. And there you go: a cheap, custom file.
