Candy wrapper leather seats

I make simulated-leather seats using the waxed liners of "After Eight" gourmet chocolates. The texture and pattern of the wrappers are a good match for real leather.

I roll the liner in a ball to get the cracks; the tighter the ball, the more cracks, and the older the look of the leather. Then I flatten the paper and cut it slightly larger than the part to be covered. The textured paper is attached with white glue, and worked into the surface of the piece beneath with a toothpick. As an extra bonus, I get to eat a delicious chocolate snack.
