Uses for tile palettes

Tip: I use a four-inch-square ceramic tile to put paint on. You can add thinner, and get just enough paint on the brush.

The best part is, you can leave the paint on the tile to dry and then scrape it off with a knife; or, before it dries, you can wipe the paint off the tile with paint thinner and a rag.

You can also use tile for different glues, such a mixing epoxy, etc. No muss, no fuss!

Thanks for a great magazine! I’ve been a huge fan since 1989, and will continue to be one !

Ken: Thanks, Jim. The reason the magazine is so good is because of readers like you who share their favorite Tips & Techniques.

By the way, here’s another use for a tile palette: Put a drop of super glue on it, then transfer the glue to the model with a pin or the end of a toothpick.  That would work for white glue, too.
