Plastic blinds are handy for scratchbuilding

RELATED TOPICS: PLASTIC | SCRATCHBUILT
Tip: I’m not sure if it’s a good one, but here’s a tip:

When we moved into our house, my wife wanted new window blinds to replace the old plastic ones. After changing the blinds, I realized I had a lot of scrap plastic slats I could use for scratchbuilding.

The curved ones make great snow plows. Flat ones are good for just about anything.

They come in different sizes and shapes, so they have lots of uses. Local hardware stores cut new ones to fit customers’ windows all the time. and they usually have lots of scraps left over.  They’ll probably give them to you, if you ask. Thanks for your time!
