Hobby blades

RELATED TOPICS: TOOL
Tip: I recently noticed the question from Alan Goff regarding hobby blades.

I use #11 hobby blades for cutting many things in modelmaking, and found that my local art-supply store (Curry’s in Hamilton, Ontario) stocks blades made of stainless steel.

These seem to last much longer than the standard blades.

They are more expensive, but well worth the price difference.

They are made by Excel Hobby Blades Corp. in Paterson NJ.

(Excel blades are available on line through Amazon, or you can order directly from Excel by going to its Web site: www.excelhobbyblades.com – Ken)
